New Balance ABZORB 2000 Debuts in ‘Baby Blue’

New Balance is stepping into the future with a bold new silhouette: the ABZORB 2000. First teased online earlier this month, the model has now been confirmed to launch in a clean ‘Baby Blue’ colourway.

The ABZORB 2000 blends early-2000s runner DNA with sculptural, forward-thinking design. Reimagining New Balance’s performance heritage for the modern lifestyle crowd, the silhouette draws inspiration from Y2K’s ‘blobject’ era, characterised by translucent plastics, rounded forms, and tech-driven curves

A Closer Look..

The upper features a no-sew mesh base layered with screen-printed overlays. Down below is a bold podular midsole featuring ABZORB SBS cushioning, which was brought to life entirely in virtual reality by Charlotte Lee, the creative mind behind the 1906L and 327. This marks the first New Balance sneaker fully sculpted in 3D from concept to completion.

The debut colourway keeps things icy and clean, with soft blue tones, subtle greys, and the classic ‘N’ logo rounding out the look.

The Drop

The ABZORB 2000 ‘Baby Blue’ will be released on June 12, 2025, via New Balance and selected retailers for £170.
