Ducks of a Feather Reveals a Hybrid Nike Air Max 95/97 for Air Max Day

In collaboration with Flight Club and GOAT, Ducks of a Feather—a program from the University of Oregon—has unveiled three bold colorways of the Nike Air Max 95/97 hybrid. Get ready for the ‘Lightning’, ‘Thunder’, and ‘Storm’ editions, which combine the sleek upper of the Air Max 97 with the iconic sole of the Air Max 95.

Division Street, the marketing program at the University of Oregon (the very place where Nike founder Phil Knight learned from Bill Bowerman), is introducing these three exclusive Air Max 95/97 hybrids. These kicks are available in region-specific colorways, and they’re dropping thanks to Ducks of a Feather, a university-driven initiative.

As the name hints, the Air Max 95/97 is the best of both worlds—blending the legendary Air Max 97 upper with the bold Air Max 95 sole. And I must say, it works well.

Three olorways

First up, the ‘Lightning’ colorway will drop in the Asia-Pacific region, featuring a shiny, reflective silver upper with a rainbow flair. And don’t forget those glow-in-the-dark Air units in the sole. You can enter the raffle on March 15, 2025, and snag your pair at Flight Club Tokyo on March 21, 2025.

The ‘Thunder’ colorway will drop in Europe, showcasing green and gold reflective overlays for a bold look. This version will be available on March 21, 2025, and can only be purchased through GOAT.

Last but definitely not least, ‘Storm’ is bringing the heat with a mix of gold and green-gold accents. Catch this one in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami on March 22, 2025, before it hits globally on March 26, 2025 – Air Max Day at GOAT.
