Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen has cemented herself as a go-to name in the sneaker world, particularly for those who love a feminine twist on classic designs. After multiple successful collaborations with ASICS, Bahnsen is back with two new iterations of the GEL-TERRAIN, first previewed at her SS25 Paris Fashion Week show. Known for her signature floral motifs and innovative design choices, Bahnsen’s latest creations continue to push boundaries, offering a unique blend of delicate aesthetics and real-world functionality.

A Closer Look at the Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GEL-TERRAIN…

The first version of the GEL-TERRAIN features a sleek, seamless build with Bahnsen’s trademark floral details on the mudguards, while a neoprene bootie addition provides a snug, comfortable fit. The second pair takes things up a notch with a full-length shroud adorned in painted floral patterns, adding a dramatic edge to the silhouette. 

Both designs come equipped with a practical quick-lace system – typically spotted on Salomon’s trail shoes – and are lined with GORE-TEX, ensuring waterproof protection without sacrificing style. With their silver tones and intricate detailing, these shoes are as much a statement of fashion as they are of function, offering a beautifully balanced take on outdoor utility with Bahnsen’s signature romantic touch.
