It’s the 30th-anniversary of the GEL-Lyte III OG, and to celebrate in style, Shigeyuki Kunii of mita meets the model’s maker, Shigeyuki Mitsui, for this special edition that marks three decades of the shoe’s circulation. Constructed in rich suede, the co-branded “TRICO 2020 Shigeyuki Mitsui x Shigeyuki Kunii” features a zip closure detail on the trademark split tongue along with quilt-like stitching within the classic ASICS logo. A clean white leather upper adds some contrast, with a vibrant red toe paying tribute to the Japanese flag and mita’s ’Trico’ blue appearing on the ASICS stripes.
