A Closer Look at Timberland AW26…

Recent previews of the upcoming collection show the brand pushing deeper into lifestyle territory while still holding onto the rugged DNA that made it famous in the first place. And honestly? Some of these pairs already look like future winter essentials.

The standout from the preview has to be the rich burgundy-and-brown boot, which reworks the classic Timberland formula with a premium, heritage-inspired finish. The contrast padded collar and hiking-style laces give it a more elevated feel, almost like a luxury interpretation of the silhouette that built the brand. It still feels unmistakably Timberland, just refined.

Elsewhere, the collection experiments heavily with texture. Croc-embossed leather appears across multiple styles, including both boots and lugged moccasin-inspired shoes, bringing a more fashion-forward edge to the range. The black croc pairs especially lean into the growing appetite for elevated outdoor footwear, sitting somewhere between rugged utility and smart winter styling.

Timberland also seems to be doubling down on chunky proportions for AW26. Thick lug soles run throughout the collection, appearing on everything from loafers to mule-style slip-ons. One of the more unexpected highlights is a wheat-coloured backless clog that feels like a natural progression of the slip-on movement dominating footwear right now. Equal parts cosy and practical, it’s easy to imagine becoming a cold-weather favourite.

There’s also a noticeable women’s focus across the preview. Platform sole boots arrive in soft neutral tones, including a clean off-white pair that blends workwear aesthetics with a more fashion-conscious silhouette. Timberland has flirted with this lane before, but AW26 feels more intentional, tapping into the continued demand for bold, utility-inspired women’s footwear.
