Jordan Brand Takes the Air Jordan 4 Out West for Bin 23

Air Jordan 4 'Bin 23' with a Western theme

Jordan Brand's Bin 23 line is back for another round, and this time it's heading out West. The Air Jordan 4 is next up for the luxury treatment, with a cowboy theme inspired by Michael Jordan's love of Western films.

If the name rings a bell, that's because Bin 23 first turned up back in 2010. The premium line reworked MJ's signature models in high-end materials, with colourways nodding to his taste for fine cigars and wine.

After 2011 things went quiet, until Jordan Brand revived the series at NBA All-Star Weekend this February with an Air Jordan 6. The Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 have followed since, and rumour has it an Air Jordan 14 Low is lined up for 2027.

A Closer Look at the Air Jordan 4 'Bin 23'...

Air Jordan 4 'Bin 23' Fauna Brown/Dark Oak/Baroque Brown/Muslin/Gym Red

Dressed in Fauna Brown/Dark Oak/Baroque Brown/Muslin/Gym Red, the pair is all about rich, earthy browns.

Suede and pony hair make up the upper, with pony hair also covering the cages and mudguard. Ostrich details add another layer of texture, while small hits of red keep the look from feeling too flat.

Then there's the lacing. Instead of standard laces, you get a bolo tie closure, which is about as Western as it gets.

The tongue carries calligraphic embossing, and round the back a red wax-seal style stamp sits on the heel.

Underfoot, the visible Air unit has been painted over, leaving an uninterrupted off-white midsole. It's a small change, but a noticeable one on a Jordan 4.

As with every Bin 23 release, the extras matter too. A belt buckle-style hangtag, wooden shoe trees and a box with an ostrich texture complete the package.

How about the Drop Date?

Early reports point to a late-December release, with the pair said to be limited to 2,300 pairs. It also reportedly surfaced early at Jordan World of Flight in Philadelphia.

A UK release date and retail price haven't been confirmed yet. When it does land, keep an eye on Nike for the drop.
