Summertime is Samba Time: A Round-Up of the adidas Originals Samba Collection

The ADIDAS ORIGINALS SAMBA has lived on the front-line of sporting action for decades. A simple but timeless design, the Samba was originally intended to be used as an indoor football shoe but has found itself being utilised across a wide range of other activities. And, perhaps most importantly, it looks just as good today as it did when it first dropped all the way back in 1950.

For this summer, adidas have prepared a wide selection of different Samba variations. The traditional elements of the original design can be found across the range, which currently includes the SAMBA OG in a deluxe hairy suede treatment, the SAMBA RECON LT, with its long, fold-over tongue and the SAMBA PRIMEKNIT, which uses a foot-hugging Primeknit upper for a light and adaptive feel. These different iterations take the design from indoor football to the street, resulting in a collection of easy-to-wear updates on the classic soccer shoe. If you’ve got a Samba-sized gap in your wardrobe, now is the time to fill it.
