A Glimpse of the adidas YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot Sand

As we know, the era of the Ye x adidas YEEZY roll-out is upon us. After countless rumours of which models will be part of the release, old and new, we’ve caught a glimpse of the YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot Sand, appearing as a new iteration that is due to drop this Autumn.

Boasting a military-inspired frame that resembles Ye’s discography of boot silhouettes, this model features an elongated, tube-like entry point that may (or may not) reference the likes of the Nike Field Boot and YEEZY Season 3 Boots. Crafted with durable textiles, this iteration feels like it could be worn for vigorous outdoor activities as much as you could picture it papped in a casual street style ‘fit. The suede and neoprene mesh ankle collar flaunts an exaggeratedly padded look, sitting above ribbed panel detailing that guides us to the bottom of the boot. This is where the real YEEZY 500 elements start to come into play, with curved suede overlays surrounding the heel and toe box. 

The adi-PRENE YEEZY 500 midsole unit provides superior support and comfort, whilst the boot-like laces ensure a secure fit. Like all of Ye’s innovative creations, the YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot Sand arrives in a flood of sandy hues that feels very streetwear-coded. There’s no doubt that we’ll be frequently spotting this model in and amongst the fashion scene, despite its infamous associator.
