5, 4, 3, 2, 1… The PLANET ARIES POP-UP STORE prepares for launch

Countdown has begun for the PLANET ARIES POP-UP STORE from ARIES and SLAM JAM, which opens its doors in London tomorrow.

Aries eschews the usual hype circuits in favour of a much more unconventional approach, but this hasn’t stopped the UK brand being stocked in an enviable selection of high-profile stores worldwide. Which isn’t surprising, given the pedigree of its founders Sofia Prantera and Fergus Purcell. Older heads will already know the duo from the early days of Holmes, Silas, Slam City Skates and much more; for the youngers, this translates to them basically pioneering most of what you like in UK streetwear today (and Purcell having designed the Palace logo – the Tri-Ferg – is just the tip of the iceberg).

For the Planet Aries pop-up, the brand has pulled together many of their partners in crime for a who’s who of UK high-low fashion history. Labels such as MARTINE ROSE, THAMES, WAYWARD, LIFE’S A BEACH and ASHLEY WILLIAMS are just a few of the conspirators, and of course Aries will be selling its own unisex wares and exclusive merchandise too.
