Puma Future Rider Sneakers and Trainers | The Drop Date

The PUMA Future Rider

Due to its status as the iconic Fast Rider's successor, Puma Future Rider has a distinguished heritage. Armin A. Dassler, son of company founder Rudolf Dassler, designed the Fast Rider shoe in the 1980s as a jogging shoe with the renowned Puma 'Federbein' sole.
Puma Future Rider and Style Rider, both introduced in 2018, are the modern versions of the vintage Fast Rider line. In colorways with vibrant 80s-style blocking, the design gained popularity quickly in the street-style scene. Following their commercial success, the Mile Rider and Cruise Rider integrated into the Rider family with feminine components in 2020.

Future Rider Technology

As well as considering past performance and future technological advancements, the new Rider line adapts to changing market needs. With breathable nylon as the base and a suede toe guard to bolster it, the design pays homage to the original sneaker from the 1980s.
Keeping the midsole of the shoe elevated ensures the least amount of stress on the Achilles tendon. As groundbreaking as the original Felderbein sole was, the new Future Rider incorporates new Rider Foam technology for enhanced support and padding.
