Skechers are well-known for their use of memory foam insoles, which conform to the foot to provide a customised and supportive fit, and through perforations in the foam, are Air-Cooled to enhance breathability.

For ultimate comfort, their Max Cushioning technology offers a layer of lightweight Ultra GO cushioning and a responsive Air-Cooled Goga Mat insole, while by utilising Hyper Burst cushioning and a firmer wave section in the middle of the outsole, their Massage Fit technology offers a gentle massage sensation with every step.

The History Of Skechers

1992

Originally founded in 1992 to market Dr Martens into the United States, Robert Greenburg and his son Michael soon began creating and promoting their own footwear line through the Skechers brand.

1993

Chrome Dome is the brand's first well-known product, an urban street boot with a pre-loved appearance.

The brand blazes a trail in the footwear sector by utilizing many innovative marketing strategies, such as ad space in magazines, billboards, and TV ads.

1997

With a variety of sports and everyday wear models, Skechers has become a global brand, selling throughout Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.

1998

Having leased a 54,000 square foot space at the World Congress Centre of Atlanta, Skechers establishes itself as a leading athletic footwear brand. Macy's central New York location offers the brand its own space.

Six years after the brand's founding, it now has 20 stores of its own.

2001

Entering the UK market opens up opportunities for growth in London, Germany, and Paris.

2002

As Skechers expands exponentially in Europe, it releases Skechers Work, for utility and service workers, and Skechers Active, for women's casual sneakers.

2012

E-commerce sites are launched by the brand in the UK and Germany, as well as two lines of low-top sneakers and boots.

New products, including Relaxed Fit, are launched through marketing agreements with billionaire Mark Cuban, American footballer Joe Montana, and American baseball manager Tommy Lasorda, among others.
