The Lacoste Brand
In 1933, legendary French tennis player René Lacoste—nicknamed "The Crocodile" for both his fierce determination on the court and a unique wager—founded Lacoste.
He revolutionised tennis attire with his lightweight, flexible cotton polo shirt, and made Lacoste the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing: the now-iconic Crocodile.
Since then, Lacoste has expanded tremendously, offering a diverse range of products from fragrances and sunglasses to watches and accessories.
Surprisingly, though, their first footwear didn’t debut until 1991!
