Introducing Hi-Tec
Founded in 1974 by Dutch sports enthusiast Frank van Wezel, Hi-Tec quickly made a name for itself with a groundbreaking lightweight squash shoe that redefined comfort and performance. This laid the foundation for a brand built on innovation and adaptability.
The debut of the Sierra boot in 1978 marked the world’s first lightweight hiking boot, followed by the release of the Silver Shadow running shoe in 1981, a silhouette that would become a classic.
Today, Hi-Tec is experiencing a revival, fuelled by the growing popularity of retro outdoor style. Leading this resurgence is HTS74, the brand’s premium sub-label launched in 2017, which reimagines archival models with upscale materials and a streetwear sensibility. Known for their lightweight construction, durability, and all-day comfort, Hi-Tec designs continue to bridge the gap between performance and fashion.
