Reebok Classic x Solebox Club C85 – YEAR OF THE COURT – AVAILABLE NOW

Part of Reebok’s ‘Year of the Court’ program, which seeks to highlight the rich history of tennis shoes that sits in the brand’s archives, this latest drop takes the iconic Reebok Classic Club C 85 silhouette and adds design elements that imitate grip tape wrapped around the handle of a vintage tennis racket. To achieve this, Solebox and Reebok have built the upper using overlapping pieces of leather and coloured almost the entire shoe with a turquoise hue, which mimics the popular tape colour from the ’80s. In an interesting but striking contrast, red was chosen for the stitching on the midsole as well as the Reebok brand on the tongue. Grey accents feature on the tongue and heel tab, and it’s on the heel tab where you can find ‘Solebox’ embroidered in the classic Reebok font.
