NIKELAB Air Max 1 Pinnacle

The Nike Air Max lineage celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year, and the AM1 takes us back to where it all began. The first visible air sneaker, Tinker Hatfield’s groundbreaking design first took to the shelves way back in 1987, and three decades later, still manages to stand the test of time to retain its status as arguably one of the most iconic trainers of all time. After close cousins, the ‘95 and ‘97 stole most of the spotlight last month, the Air Max 1 returns for an early May drop, and ups the ante by receiving some tender loving care from NikeLab. The drop sees the originator of Air decked out in premium perforated uppers in muted tones, offered up in the blossom-esque arctic pink or beige with contrasting black accents.
