Jun Takahashi’s dominance at Nike is set to continue this summer as the UNDERCOVER boss unveils his unique spin on the Daybreak from 1979. The early running model is receiving its fair share of attention at the moment, with elements of it alive in the upcoming sacai collaboration as well as Jun’s creations. A simple suede and textile upper is the basis for the design, which is accentuated with a plastic heel wrap that adds a winged effect. “U” printed heel tabs add to the branding details, with “UNDERCOVER, Jun Takahashi” appearing on both the speckled midsole and tongue tabs. Due to land in June, fans of the collab will have a choice of the shoe in either Black and Summit White or Blue Jay and Black, as seen below.
