NIKE AIR RAID
Black / Flint Grey / White
The NIKE AIR RAID originally debuted in 1992 as the result of a request by Phil Knight stuck on Mark Parker's office door. It asked for a Nike outdoor basketball shoe. That brief would end up with Tinker Hatfield. The resulting shoe locked in players with an X-shaped strap system and offered extra midfoot support to give it an unbreakable look. Originally named the Nike Jaq (after jacking as a slang word), it became the Nike Air Raid, as advertised by Spike Lee.
