When the Triax 96 first dropped to coincide with the 1996 Olympic Games, it became associated with legendary American sprinter Michael Johnson. Noted for its aerodynamic shape and lightweight properties when worn on-foot, the model boasts smooth white leather features across much of the uppers, with nubuck and mesh adding some contrasting textures. This colourway boasts a patriotic mix of white, blue red and gold with USA Track & Field graphics on the insole, flags on the tongue, ‘USA’ detailing on the back heels and finally, BRS 1000 outsoles harking back to Nike’s early days.
