When the Air Max 96 first dropped in… ummm… 1996, it had its work cut out to follow the legacy of the previous year’s Air Max release: the seemingly immortal Air Max 95. Whilst any subsequent Air Max design would find that task a challenge, 1996 saw two Air Max designs drop, the latter of which we’re featuring here. The shoe actually looks stronger than ever now, with its suede and mesh layers and panels, and when it’s being presented in colourways as good as this Purple Dawn/Lemon Drop-Purple Pulse combination, it’s easy to see the appeal.
