The Nike Air Force 1 Preserved Icons sports a heat-activated colour-changing upper that pays homage to the Statue of Liberty. The upper's natural copper hue makes way for green when the shoe gets hot, mirroring the Lady Liberty's change since its erection in 1886. The green hue can also be seen on the tongue label and star covered insoles, whether the shoes are hot or cold. To round things off, the lace jewels feature a torch design as a nod to the torch at the top of the statue.
