Asics Tiger x MITA GT-II – Squirrel – 3 DEC 2016
Here in Europe, we’ve already witnessed violent turf wars between red and grey squirrels. And in case that’s not enough animal action for you, mita has also thrown the ASICS Tiger into the mix to spice things up. The upper of the new collab comes dressed in different types and shades of brown suede to reference the humble squirrel, while on the medial side of each shoe the iconic Tiger stripes are picked out in vibrant red and blue. Though we’re more used to seeing collaborative versions of later GEL models, this release is perfectly timed to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the GEL-II – the very first shoe to feature the brand’s signature GEL Cushioning – and features a midsole engraving that references the anniversary.
