Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, used Apple’s AirDrop feature to give away pairs of his new shoe to random attendees of Coachella, and upon receiving the message, those lucky people could then claim their pairs at a gifting tent within the festival. Following on from this clever stunt, his footwear collection is now almost ready to drop. The NIZZA, CONTINENTAL 80 and the LACOMBE all feature subtle imperfections, such as frayed edges, in an attempt to exemplify a worn-in aesthetic and tell the stories behind the miles walked in a well-used pair of shoes. The shoes also feature painted logos, gold eye-stays and a moth logo to signify his collaboration.
