ADIDAS ORIGINALS x HENDER SCHEME proves it’s much more than just a “collab” with three handmade versions of iconic adidas silhouettes, both old and new. A play on Sandra Bem’s “gender schema” theory, artisan Japanese brand Hender Scheme was started by Ryo Kashiwazaki in a bid to re-craft popular iconic sneaker models from the likes of Nike and adidas. A trained cobbler, Ryo’s luxury-oozing reiterations are crafted entirely by hand in premium leather and have quickly caught the attentions of Tokyo’s fashion elite, as well as adidas themselves.
