ADIDAS ORIGINALS TUBULAR CHINESE NEW YEAR PACK

Chinese New Year is one of the events of the year that is often used as inspiration for trainer releases, and this year is no different. This time around adidas will be releasing a trio of Tubular models – Runner, Doom and X – each of which sport all-red uppers in a mix of materials. Red releases are often popular, but in this situation the colour isn’t chosen for its popularity; in Chinese culture the colour is considered lucky and used to ward off evil spirits, which is why on Chinese New Year people will often give gifts to one another in red envelopes. For this release all three pairs sit on off-white Tubular sole units, which not only provide some contrast, but also help the red uppers pop nicely.
