Rather than regurgitating dusty archive models as retros, the adidas design team scanned the back catalogues for a single design element to help them create a whole new product: the grid. Utilising the German footwear brand’s rich history as a gateway to the future, the new Deerupt silhouette is inspired by the structural webbing seen on heritage silhouettes that came before it, such as the New York and Marathon.
