VANS VAULT X STÜSSY COLLECTION – 6.6.14

A welcome addition to this summer’s selections, the VANS VAULT X STÜSSY COLLECTION truly represents the best of both brands in one killer pack of shoes.

Hitting the streets as a trio, it’s a treat to see three great models being utilised in this collaborative pack. The VANS OG STYLE 36 LX is based on the original blueprints of the Old Skool and features the classic Stüssy Tom Tom print on the uppers. First created in 1986 by Shawn Stüssy, this print reached uniform status for anyone who skated in London in the late ’80s.

The VANS OG ERA LX features another favourite print from the Stüssy archives – the classic Bones pattern from 1988. Covering both sides of the upper, the soft suede and neon green overlays create a perfect combination. Even if you weren’t aware of the previous prints, you’d have to be a newborn not to recognise the Stüssy 8 Ball print on the VANS OG SK8-HI LX. Twenty years on, this pattern represents a great era in street style history – and with the bright red Sidestripe, it’s never looked so good.
