There’s nothing quite like discovering a sick pair of kicks – eagerly anticipating the drop before finally getting the chance to cop. We’re sure that for Travis Scott sneaker enthusiasts, this phenomenon is reaching a breaking point, having been patiently anticipating the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack ‘University Red’ for over ten months. Well, it’s their lucky day, because the collaborative offering is finally official, set for a public release. Working atop the artists’ very own silhouette, let’s get into the nitty gritty.

A Closer Look at the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack ‘University Red’ (FZ8117-101)…

As we know, this Jumpman Jack silhouette is special for one of two reasons. Firstly, it’s the first time since the beginning of the alliance (2018), that Travis Scott has designed his own silhouette, as opposed to pre-existing models like the Air Jordan 1 and Air Max 1. And secondly, this ‘University Red’ colourway is the first iteration of the Jordan Jumpman Jack to land! So, it’s probably safe to say that this release was well worth the wait. 

Utilising a black mesh-canvas base, thick Sail leather panelling boldly adopts the upper’s overlays. Resembling the same textural construction as the ‘Sail’ iteration, the shoe opts for a Muslin rubber outsole, keeping the exterior light against the dark foundations. Entering at the backwards Swoosh, tongue, heel, insole and distinctive outer graphic, the ‘University Red’ hue injects a striking edge that brings the shoe to life. And, if that wasn’t enough, the kicks arrive with a special edition tote bag, for all of your Summer ventures.
