Kicking things off with a sneaker that the Swoosh have been teasing since the start of the year – the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Anthracite’. Returning to the shelves once again following its last 2020 revival, the ‘07 silhouette is back to honour the OG. Boasting an entirely monochromatic exterior, the sneakers intricate outer utilises a mixture of materials for a stealthy and dynamic persona. The upper expresses all-black Foamposite alongside nubuck eyelets, ensuring that the sneaker is a clean reflection of the original. And why shouldn’t it be? Timeless steez never goes out of style!
Pioneering workwear/streetwear label Carhartt WIP puts its spin into the iconic CONS One Star Pro. Landing as a restock, the progressive collaboration sees the originally court-tailored model undergo a skate-centred makeover. Rubber tradition allows unparalleled grip and stability when on the move, whilst specialised CX cushioning absorbs impact. A refined palette of ‘White’, ‘Black’ and ‘Gum Honey’ perfectly compliments the leather and suede elements, feeling distinctive to Carhartt’s contemporary and minimalist aesthetic.
When two dominators in the streetwear and footwear game link up, it’s always going to bang. Proving this point over two decades of collaborations, Stüssy and Nike are back. And this time, it’s all about the Nike Air Flight 89. The alliance’s last endeavour served up a textural reimagining of the classic Vandal model, much to the delight of old school sneaker connoisseurs. Snakeskin sidewall overlays bring an edge, whilst perforation throughout the upper is accentuated by a white leather base. Extra embellishments include mesh collars, Stüssy’s distinctive “SS” motifs, midfoot Swoosh emblems, collaborative tongues and embroidered “NIKE AIR” branding.
Since the 991v2’s debut in October, it’s safe to say that the model has been making waves within the sneaker community. And how can it not – when collaborating with big players like Stone Island and Patta pretty much off the bat?! Keeping the fire burning, New Balance 991v2 ‘Dark Navy’ oozes the premium craftsmanship that we all know and love. Combining premium materials such as pigskin suede, nubuck and mesh to create a sophisticated appearance, the ‘Dark Navy’ hue floods the mesh base, mudguard, midfoot and heel. Hits of grey and silver complete these regal kicks – the epitome of NB’s dedication to precision and quality.
If you’re a fan of unapologetically bold kicks, you’re going to love the Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 What’s The Occasion capsule. Each colourway is prepped and ready for two occasions in particular, dubbed ‘Wear to a Date’ and ‘Wear to the Party’. Working atop a blue breathable mesh base, the first of the two kicks expresses hues of green, teal and baby blue, adorned with red and orange hits within branding. As for the ‘Wear to a Party’ iteration, the silhouette has been given a strong spicy margarita, flaunting fiery hues that dance across the exterior. A variety of materials including premium suede, nubuck and mesh all play a role in the dynamic persona of the kicks, which arrive with custom insoles and packaging.
Landing in three distinctive personas, The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low capsule is here to inject some vibrance into your rotation. Starting with the natural leader of the trio, Blossom’s Dunk boasts a supple suede body, flooded with a bright pink hue. A satin inner lining brings a subtle feminine touch to the silhouette, softening the contrasting orange tone within the Swoosh and laces. Bubbles’ take on the Dunk features her signature blue colour, which takes shape in a shimmery finish across the upper. The Swoosh and laces adopt a bright yellow hue, complimenting lairy graphics expressed within the sole. Last, but certainly not least, the Buttercup Dunk exhibits a soft green flair, grounded by black hits within the upper and midsole. All three sneakers feature an embroidered heel tab depicting the characters’ eyes, rounded off this fun collection.
When the high fashion and sneaker realm collide, you get solid results. Exhibit A is the upcoming Matthew M. Williams Alyx x Nike Air Force 1 Low, whereby the Givenchy creative director injects his aesthetic into the Swoosh classic. Presenting two monochromatic colourways, both kicks embody the less-is-more tone of the 1017 ALYX 9SM brand through minimal touches. The sleek leather exterior is host to subtle co-branded details that grace the lace deubré and lower sidewalls. Differing from the typical AF1 construction, these collaborative iterations present a seamless transition between the mudguard and midfoot, solidifying a streamlined finish.
Arriving as a part of the Swoosh’s performance sector, the Nike Lunar Roam combines ‘00s Lunar foam tech with contemporary innovation to provide a progressive model that goes the extra mile. Landing in an ‘Alabaster’ colourway, lemon-y hues dance around the upper complimenting a bright yellow Lunar foam sole. Yes, the chunky midsole is just as plush as it appears, almost as if you were running on a cloud. Crafted for unparalleled comfort and practicality, a combination of mesh and TPU allows for ease and durability simultaneously wherever you choose to step.
