It’s time for another dose of UK musical nostalgia courtesy of SIZE? X THE RIG OUT UK CLASSICS PART 3.
While Part 1 dealt with Garage and Part 2 with Jungle, the third instalment focuses on another unique UK sound from the point of view of London’s Heartless Crew. Formed in the ’90s, the trio combined disparate influences to create their own blend of Jamaican sound system tradition, hip-hop, garage and UK pirate radio culture. Shot in their trademark lo-fi style, the Rig Out’s film shows Heartless Crew members Mighty Moe, MC Bushkin and DJ Fonti discussing the relationship between music, trainers and clothing in the ’90s – an era when musical and fashion subcultures were particularly strongly intertwined. Styling was handled by vintage emporium Dukes Cupboard with a mix of their own archive pieces alongside new size? offerings from big hitters like Stussy, adidas Originals, Nike and The North Face.
