Along with the hotly-anticipated ‘Burger’ edition in collaboration with END., SAUCONY have just dropped a quartet of PREMIUM EDITION SHADOW 5000s dubbed ‘THE SPRING PACK’.
More so than its bigger, hype-garnering brother the Shadow 6000, the 5000 is a shoe that always tends to intrigue us here at The Drop Date. It’s a shoe that packs a techy punch, with that engineered midsole and those aggressive lines, but manages to remain fairly slimline when worn. With its original, stealthy shape and the endless colour blocking opportunities that the panelling presents, right now the Shadow 5’ is amongst the best in the retro running market for us.
The Spring Pack continues the premium line that Saucony have had going for a while now, which simply involves a higher grade of materials on the upper — no arguing with that. The usual synthetic felt is swapped out for genuine suede, which wraps the mudguard all the way around to the heel in a variety of four colours: navy, red, grey or forest green. The rest of the shoe is kept simple with grey mesh and nylon and a white synthetic Saucony logo on the midsection.
All four colours of the SAUCONY ORIGINALS SHADOW 5000 PREMIUM ‘SPRING PACK’ are available now, via the link-through below.
