With Record Store Day 2015 looming, FOOTPATROL, PUMA and TRAX COUTURE have revealed a collaborative project that reaches way further than your average bespoke colourway.
Starting off the back of the vinyl resurgence in 2008, Record Store Day champions independent music shops and their culture with a all-day celebration, this year taking place on 18 APR 2015. Given the festivities fall at Footpatrol’s Soho doorstep, the Gasmask has teamed up with PUMA and underground record label Trax Couture to blend the two disciplines of music and footwear into one excellent 3-way project.
On the footwear side, Footpatrol have put their touch to the PUMA R698, with a matte black nubuck upper with perforations in all the right places, aqua-speckled midsole and gum outer. Personal touches include a 3-way branded PUMA Trax Patrol tongue label, a USB tag and Black Flash reflective laces provided by Ropes Laces.
On the reverse side, Trax Couture head honcho Rushmore has produced a four-piece vinyl TRAXPATROL EP that smartly mimics the aesthetic of the shoe. The made-in-London record and accompanying video content will be available on the day in-store at Footpatrol in limited quantities.
Be sure to get down to FOOTPATROL this SATURDAY 18 MAY 2015 for the event, which will see DJs from both camps spinning tunes from 12-6pm, and for your chance to grab the full collaborative package.
