Following on in a line of strong offerings in the silhouette, PUMA present the R698 in its original form, with a colourway inspired by the recent reissue of the XS850 and is part of the newly forged CREAM level of top tier distribution, which takes the reins from the LIST project.
The R698 has enjoyed great popularity recently, sparked perhaps by the excellent BWGH project or the current obsession with retro runners of a certain shape, so it’s natural to see PUMA stoke that fire with some top-tier general release makeups of the shoe. While this is not an OG in terms of the colourway, special attention has been paid to reproduce this 1993 model as faithfully as possible in regards to its original shape and build. The colourway in fact serves as a counterpart to the recent reissue of the XS850; instead of a predominantly white colour-up, a black mesh, suede, and leather upper is interrupted by some vivid pink and silver hits towards the rear. The 850’s splatter print is similarly transferred across to this model, while the familiar Trinomic sole is finished in white with some more pink licks on the outsole.
The PUMA R698 OG 93 is set to drop on SATURDAY 17.5.14 and you can find the release info, along with the confirmed UK stockist list & link-throughs by clicking on the banner below.
