Wanting to start the year on the right foot, or the left foot for that matter, ONITSUKA TIGER have delved into their rich heritage to develop some new silhouettes for 2014.
Onitsuka Tiger have pieced together the perfect models to combat the modern day’s hectic schedules, busy streets and multiple obstacles and conditions. The Shaw Runner, which plays the lead in the new range, makes use of their trademark GEL Technology, allowing for ultimate comfort whilst also having the same stability and build quality we’ve come to expect from Tiger. The shoe, which comes in 8 colour ways in a range of different materials, pays homage to the brand’s Japanese roots by featuring an embossed tiger pattern on the outsole.
In the supporting role is the Sherborne Runner, a modern take on the well-known Ultimate 81 they released back in the 80s. Drawing upon the blueprints of the original, Tiger give you the same look of the classic but with updated materials and a midsole swap to aid longevity and performance.
Of course, a leading lady needs to be present too and this role is taken up by the Harandia, which has been made for women for the first time this season. With a much more tapered fit, the slimmer version of the shoe is being made in six new colour ways exclusively for women.
All models are a breath of fresh air for the brand, who now have the luxury of expanding their roster with some future classics to sit with their current models. The ONITSUKA TIGER SHAW RUNNER, SHERBORNE RUNNER, and HARANDIA have started to drop and can be picked up via the link-through below.
