Offspring x adidas Originals ‘Britpack’ – Release Info

The popular trainer retailer continues its celebration to honor 20 years since the Neal St. shop opened, as it announces the OFFSPRING X ADIDAS ORIGINALS ‘BRITPACK’, which drops this Friday.

Offspring has collaborated with adidas Originals once again to deliver a Britpop era-inspired collection, reimagining a trio of classics: the Stan Smith, Climacool and Superstar 80s. The Stan Smiths are modeled on monkey boots and parkas, which were popular at the time, as it features a waxed canvas upper in classic khaki, a crepe wedge sole and leather heel tab. The Climacool is reminiscent of adidas light blue track suit tops, which were a common sight among Britpop bands and celebrities at the time. It achieves this by combining the Climacool mesh in corresponding blue, and a gum outsole and nubuck lining. The Superstar 80s are modeled on the robust, military-style boots that were a fixture in the mid-90s. A dark magenta and grained leather upper, gunmetal shell toe and embossed three stripe logo complete the look. And for a little extra something, all three models in the Britpack include a sock stamp of the very first store on Neal Street.
