All You Can Eat: The Nike SB Dunk High Pro Momofuku

The NIKE SB DUNK HIGH PRO MOMOFUKU celebrates New York-based chef David Chang’s long-standing relationship between Nike SB and the city’s skate community.

Serving up something a little different, the next Dunk High from Nike SB looks towards the culinary delights of chef David Chang. The owner of Momofuku Noodle Bar in the East Village, Chang has long been an observer of the parallels between skate and food culture, whether in his restaurant or when he partners with the brand to feed hungry skaters on Go Skateboarding Day each June.

The staff dress code in Momofuku also disregards the usual chef “whites” and they dress in dark grey instead, suggesting the idea of an apron, which is mirrored on the uppers of the forthcoming Dunk. A textured dark denim effect sitting atop a perfectly contrasting white midsole and gum outsole, the tongue holds a dual branded tab accompanied by an embroidered peach to the heel counter, which is complemented with a green heel pull. The numbers “163” and “207” mark the sock liners as a shout out to the addresses of David’s Fuku and Ssäm Bar restaurants in NYC.

A low-key and versatile shoe, the Momofuku Dunk is probably a little too handsome to skate…

The NIKE SB DUNK HIGH PRO MOMOFUKU is set to release on THURSDAY 22 JUNE. Until then, shop the current NIKE SB range by following the banner below.
