Meet Nike’s Latest Employee, B.I.L.L. aka Bot Initiated Longevity Lab

Making its debut in Nike Town London, the NIKE BOT INITIATED LONGEVITY LAB (or B.I.L.L. for short) has one simple mission: to extend the life of products and minimise their impact on the environment.  Joining other sustainable Swoosh services such as Nike Recycling & Donation and Nike Refurbished,  B.I.L.L. is a robot-augmented system designed to clean and repair shoes with selected customizations. It feeds perfectly into Nike’s circular vision of products being reused, remade, rediscovered and loved again as something brand new. Extending the life of a product is a key component of that circular future as giving a product a second life reduces its environmental impact on the planet. This insight is what led to Nike’s latest innovation at retail: B.I.L.L., Bot Initiated Longevity Lab, piloting at Nike Town London this month.
