The NIKE ALOHA PACK PART 2 introduces three more models that sport that colourful and cheerful print.
The ALOHA was designed and produced back in 1984 exclusively for the Honolulu Marathon. Even back then, NIKE already had a tradition of launching new styles at this event, which started in 1978, where they introduced the Tailwind – their first shoe sporting AIR technology.
Six years later, they decided to honour the marathon with an eponymous shoe designed specifically for the event itself. The result was the first NIKE running shoe with an all-over print across its nylon upper. Using the silhouette from the Omega, they created an adventurous multi-colour print featuring Hawaiian Hibiscus flowers that was available in three colourways, all for women.
Back to the present day, a whole 31 years later, that same print now adorns three more silhouettes: the ROSHE ONE, the AIR HUARACHE and the PEGASUS 83. Unlike the originals, these new versions see the ALOHA used as detailing, combined with solid red panels and pops of yellow.
