NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 1

The Swoosh is set to drop two new colourways for the NIKE AIR MAX ZERO, opting for a stylish and tonal look that suits the cooler weather.

Last month, The Drop Date gave you a sneak peak at a Binary Blue colourway. Well there’s a Cool Grey version for you to feast your greedy eyes on, too – check out the pics. Each colourway features matching sole units and subtle colour contrasts with the branding. Everything is rounded off with a mix of materials for the construction, i.e. a woven mesh upper, taped panels and a visible Max Air unit in the heel, which helps to keep things nice and lightweight. As The Drop Date has revealed in the past, the Zero debuted in 2015 although it was a prototype design that preceded the Nike Air Max 1 (hence the “Zero” and why Nike refers to it as “the one before the 1”). It was designed by – who else? – the Tinkerman, whose bootie-inspired construction and sock-like upper finally saw fruition after languishing on the drawing board for 30 years. After a long wait, we’ve been treated to some slick looking colourways, such as the Ultramarine and Persian Violet, but even though these two tonal numbers dial back the splashes of colour, they’d make a chic addition to any autumn and winter wardrobe.

The NIKE AIR MAX ZERO in ‘Binary Blue’ and ‘Cool Grey’ releases on THURSDAY 10 NOVEMBER and will be available via the banner below.
