Dress Fresh for St. Patrick’s Day with the Nike Air Max 97 Lucky Green

The NIKE AIR MAX 97 LUCKY GREEN continues the recent run of fresh colour schemes that we’ve seen applied to the classic running design.

Christian Tresser’s futuristic design for the Air Max 97 was long-thought to have been inspired by Japan’s high-speed Bullet trains… but the inspiration came from studying the lines and angles on mountain bike frames. The finished design was a unique mix of contours and curves that gave the shoe a true feeling of momentum. The 97 is largely known for its initial silver edition but it’s proven to be a versatile canvas and as a result we’ve seen many colourways over the past decades. With St. Patrick’s Day almost here, Nike has prepared a Lucky Green edition. The construction features a mesh upper overlaid with leather and suede panels and a 3M reflective streak around the shoe. Gold accents and Olympic style details on the tongue round things off the look perfectly.
