Will The Nike Air Max 95 Neon Return On Air Max Day 2018?

2018-02-08T16:13:43

The NIKE AIR MAX 95 NEON is one of those shoes that we’ll never tire of seeing. With its distinctive layered fade across the uppers and bright neon yellow accents – best known as the much-loved Volt colour.

The original model was a bold, provocative silhouette that has stood the test of time. The man behind the design was Nike ACG designer Sergio Lozano, a trained industrial designer whose past experience with tennis and training shoes brought in a new look for the Air Max range. After its original 1995 appearance, the 95 has reappeared in the OG neon format many times: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015. During that time, we’ve seen the PSI detail on the Air bubble vanish and reappear, whilst the air unit has gradually decreased in size. Sneaker News called a return of the retro around the Swoosh’s Air Max Day celebrations, which sees many of the original details in place, including the PSI markings on the sole, meaning there could soon be a chance to re-up on one of the truly great Nike Air Max shoes in its original form. When it’ll actually hit the shelves we’re unsure, but stay locked…

The NIKE AIR MAX 95 NEON is yet to be given an official release date. For now, you can click the banner below to check the latest releases at NIKE ahead of the drop.
