We thought the Aqua and Purple edition of the first ever Air Max silhouette was potentially the last in the Swoosh’s slew of OG colourways to celebrate the model’s impressive 30th year in circulation, but Nike has made time to pull yet another throwback colourway out of the bag before 2017 draws to a close. There are little changes to the Obsidian and Red option, with just a few slight tweaks made to the fabrications and build. Not seen for at least four years, the updated palette boasts a satisfying fresh white mesh base suitably complemented by light grey suede and obsidian overlays, with the latter shade making up the side Swoosh too. Sat atop a clean white visible Air midsole, red accenting is added to the outsole, eyelets, tongue tabs, and embroidered hit to the back heel – adding the perfect dose of pop to this flawless spin on Tinker Hatfield’s revolutionary design.
