The NIKE AIR FORCE 1 HI CMFT LUX QS E PLURIBUS UNUM disguises a host of premium touches in a relatively subtle colourway.
A crisp white mesh base is overlaid with creamy white no-sew panels to create a streamlined silhouette. Alongside the metallic gold detailing on the logos, lace jewel and strap is a tongue label that features a pattern reminiscent of the ribbons seen on the uniforms of soldiers who have served their country. The military theme continues with the four stars that are debossed on the aforementioned lace jewel, which is a nod to the highest rank normally achievable in the US Army; a four-star general. Discretely placed within the velcro are the words E PLURIBUS UNUM also finished in metallic gold: this is Latin for ‘Out of many, one’ (alternatively translated as ‘One out of many’ or ‘One from many’), which features on the Seal of the United States. Rounding off the outside is an icy blue sole unit, which gives this relatively subtle colourway a distinctive look. White continues on the inside of the shoe, with only the red LUNARLON insole stopping it from being a total whitewash. NIKE have summed this shoe up perfectly with the line printed on the inside of the box: HELLO STYLE. MEET COMFORT.
