In an attempt to break the mould of the standard one day event blueprint, We Are Parable have developed the new ‘Is It The Shoes?‘ Festival.
Transpiring over four evenings and three days at The Rag Factory and Boxpark from 10th-13th October, the event showcases how great the influence of trainers has been on the fashion, film, music and design industries. Alongside this, with a little help from the Northampton Shoe Museum, an interactive exhibition will also take place during the festival too.
Rounding off on the Sunday, street Artist PINS is running a design workshop at Box Park were participants will step into the shoes of Tinker Hatfield and sketch some iconic silhouettes from over the decades. These images will then come together to form one montage of a shoe, showing how diverse the scene really is.
Alongside the workshop, a panel discussion will also take place, so make note, a few of the touted topics include resellers, the rise of sneaker heads and certain impacts on production.
Is It The Shoes? is in vast contrast to any other event and looks to be just as informative, as it will be enjoyable. Be sure to check the event programme here on weareparable.com, and follow @isittheshoes13 and @weareparable over on Twitter for additional information on the run up to the event.
