HOUSE OF VANS LONDON: OPENING 9TH OF AUGUST

The HOUSE OF VANS LONDON project has been the talk of the town since word got out and we’ve been following the progress of the amazing new park very closely over the past few weeks. It might be based near Waterloo, but memories of the original London Bridge/Ewer Street park immediately came to mind as soon as we saw the under-the-tracks shots on our social feeds.

It’s been in the making for over a year, so seeing the doors open this FRIDAY 9TH AUGUST will be a real treat for all of us here in London. A full-on creative space available to everyone (there are exhibitions spaces, art areas, workshops and all sorts of good things incorporated into this project), the real draw for many of us will be the concrete bowl that’s sat alongside the street course and mini-ramp areas.

The launch night this Friday will see a whole host of activities and performances, including a great-sounding workshop with Ben Drury, Gorm Ashurst, Trevor Jackson and Louise Grey on the history of ‘zines. We could go on and on about this amazing place, but your best bet for all the info is to head over to the official website: www.houseofvanslondon.com.

Check out the official intro video and see our homeboy Rob Smith tear up the park in his excellent Welcome to Vans edit below.
