FOOTPATROL X ASICS GEL-KAYANO TRAINER

 

Footpatrol and ASICS have come together to create what could arguably be the perfect runner for this time of year – the FOOTPATROL x ASICS GEL-KAYANO TRAINER.

Taking inspiration from the equipment carried by soldiers whilst out on foot patrol, it is not just the olive green & black colourway that it is well suited to this time of year; the Footpatrol team wanted to create a premium upper, to bring the Gel-Kayano up to date, but they also wanted to keep true to the technical details of the equipment that inspired the shoe. With this in mind they have experimented with a durable water resistant suede across the whole upper. The use of perforation in the suede on some of the panels adds that little touch to create a more luxurious look—everyone loves a bit of perforated suede.

This combination of colourway and materials makes this a great choice for those of us who want to keep wearing runners during the wetter months of the year, without having to worry about getting caught in a sudden downpour. As suggested by the name, the Gel-Kayano is built with ASICS’ THETA GEL and P-Gel technology in the sole, giving wearers the level of comfort we have come to expect from Gel range.
