FILLING PIECES was founded in 2009 by Guillaume Philibert, an architecture student from Amsterdam, with one aim in mind: to fill the gap in the market between street and high-fashion footwear. In just five years they have built up a great reputation and have worked with some big names, which include: KITH, END., VERSO, AIMÉ LEON DORE and COLETTE.
Here we get a look at their upcoming SS15 collection, which is based around their four models: LOW TOP; MID TOP; MOUNTAIN CUT and RUNNER. The collection is kept to a relatively neutral colour palette of black, white, grey and navy and instead uses a mix of materials to create the head-turning designs. Just some of these materials include straight and oval pleated leathers, quilted leather, python skin leather, laser-cut TAS Limoges fabric and debossed neoprene. The use of unusual but high quality materials, combined with more common choices such as leather and nubuck, result in some great looking shoes with a really premium feel – something we very much approve of.
The FILLING PIECES SS15 COLLECTION should be available in the UK soon and we’ll have all the info you need as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, you can still get your hands on some of the AW14 collection via the link-through below.
