After having worked with Champion & TSPTR earlier this season, everyone’s favourite Soho footwear specialists are back with another apparel project: the EBBETS FIELD FLANNELS FOR FOOTPATROL WINTER ’14 CAPSULE COLLECTION.
Though on the face of it baseball attire doesn’t translate all too well to the UK, a country where you’d find it easier locating a croquet field than a baseball diamond, it is testament to the versatility and application of Team FP that this unlikely collaboration has turned out so well.
The story of this project mimics that of the brand’s birth quite nicely: in 1987 Jerry Cohen began appropriating and customising vintage baseball uniforms to wear onstage at his band’s gigs and from that Ebbets Field Flannels was born. In the same way, Footpatrol have added their own graphics to three Ebbets pieces for a London-tinged take on classic American sportswear. The capsule includes the Grounds Crew jacket, the Vintage Made in USA t-shirt, and an unstructured, woollen strapback cap.
The EBBETS FIELD FLANNELS FOR FOOTPATROL WINTER ’14 CAPSULE COLLECTION is available now both in-store and online via the link-through below! Great work from all involved!
