The chances are that you’ve seen leaked images of the CONCEPTS X ASICS GEL LYTE III 25TH ANNIVERSARY, but just yesterday the Boston-based retailer posted the first official image.
In the words of Deon Point, co-owner of CONCEPTS:
“The MFA (Museum of Fine Art) allowed us to shoot these in front of the Passage of the Delaware. A turning point for the American military during the Revolution. Boston played a critical role in the earliest American revolts – against unfair British taxes and practices”.
This explains why the silhouette takes on a patriotic look with an off-white suede on the toe, red suede on the heel, navy blue suede by the laces and a matching mesh on the iconic split tongue. The red continues on to the lining and the mesh that sits in amongst the formstripe on the lateral side, whilst the mesh on the medial side is navy blue. The formstripes add some shine to the colourway, with metallic gold and metallic silver leather on either side. A white midsole keeps things clean, with an outsole that is colour-coded to the upper, tying it all together nicely. As a final touch, the GEL LYTE III logo on the lateral side has been replaced by CONCEPTS.
The CONCEPTS X ASICS GEL LYTE III 25TH ANNIVERSARY is scheduled to release on SATURDAY 2 MAY and all the info and link you need are up on our RELEASE PAGE, which you can link to below.
