Nike Air Jordan 1 Flight 4 ‘Space Jam’ – A First Look

The Jordan Brand gives its recent hybrid, the AIR JORDAN 1 FLIGHT 4, the ‘SPACE JAM’ treatment as we lead up to the drop of the much-hyped Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam’, which is expected to drop in December.

Back to the hybrid: The Flight 4 combines the Air Jordan 1 silhouette with several features from the Air Jordan 4. This iteration goes a step further and throws the ‘Space Jam’ colourway into the mix. The original Air Jordan 11 Space Jam was of course worn by Michael Jordan in the 1995 NBA Playoffs and later in the 1996 Space Jam film. Fans of the shoes had to wait a few years, though, as Nike released them in 2000, thus cementing the shoes’ status as pop cultural icons. Fast forward to the present day, this latest iteration has borrowed the black leather with Dark Concord (blue) branding, including the Jumpman logo, colour scheme. One notable point of difference, however, the the Jordan 1 Flight 4’s midsole and outsole units are black, eschewing the icy soles from the OG version. So what do you say? Think you can see yourself rocking a pair of these down to the shops while singing “I Believe I Can Fly”?

The AIR JORDAN 1 FLIGHT 4 ‘SPACE JAM’ has dropped in the US: keep checking back for if and when these make an appearance closer to home. In the meantime, you can check the current Jordan Brand selection at Nike by clicking the banner below.
