The ADIDAS ORIGINALS SL LOOP CHROMATECH is a colour changing iteration of a shoe that can trace its heritage all the way back to 1972.

Back in 1972, the Olympics were held in Munich and the ADIDAS SL ’72 played the part of the podium shoe. It was this shoe that inspired the ADIDAS ORIGINALS SL LOOP which has then led to various renditions and developments, the latest of which is the ADIDAS ORIGINALS SL LOOP CHROMATECH seen here. The sock style fit is switched for a more conventional tongue that is kept in place by laces that are held in place by alternating cables. The synthetic webbing that covers the upper comes in a choice of yellow, black or maroon in various styles, all rounded off with black on the lining and laces. The CHROMATECH technology on the uppers, rather than reacting to light like the Xeno uppers, reacts to motion, which means it changes as it stretches and contracts. This results in a colour change that depends on how the shoe is worn and should mean no two pairs look alike. All three pairs sit on top of white midsoles and grey outsoles and are finished with traditional ADIDAS blue on the logos.

The three colourways of the ADIDAS ORIGINALS SL LOOP CHROMATECH have started to drop in the US, so expect to see them here soon. Keep checking back with us for updates.
